What? – Educational trip
When? – August 30-September 2
Where? – Berlin
Who? – Project participants from the Dietzenbach Youth Advisory Council + WISA e.V. and the EPM team
What was organized?
The participants of the DATI pilot project “Wegweiser Empathie – Mitgefühl und Perspektiven” (WEMP for short) organized an educational trip to Berlin from August 30 to September 2. Several team-building activities were organized, such as a game show on Sunday evening, workshops on the topic of “racism,” and visits to sights such as the Holocaust Memorial. The participants also had free time to explore Berlin in small groups. This allowed for a balance of theory, practice, and fun.
What was the goal of this activity?
This activity was about further deepening the content of the training for the empathy guides and visualizing it through additional program items. In addition, the young people were to get to know each other better and strengthen their group dynamics. The trip also gave them the opportunity to visit and get to know their cooperation partner, the HWR, on site.
